Reuben & Kyria // Beacon Rock Surprise Engagement

I find it only fitting that this session be the one to close out 2019. This was one of my favorite surprise engagements of the year. A surprise to the bride….. and me!!! You see, I found out the morning of August 10th that Reuben was going to propose. It was such a wonderful whirlwind of excitement as two friends, of the couple, and I drove two hours to Beacon Rock, climbed the mountain, and hid, waiting for Reuben to arrive with his unsuspecting, soon to be, fiancee.

Reuben and Kyria share a love of hiking, climbing, and adventure. They climbed the rocks and boulders with ease, all the while being pros at having their photo taken.”

This sweet couple shines as they work together. From random little things to bigger things, like wedding planning. They are consistently working together, referring to each other, listening to each other, and having fun. They love including people in their life. Like when they got engaged. Friends of Reuben & Kyria joined us for the proposal, Kyria’s siblings joined us afterwards, and we all went out to celebrate wish Sushi. Yep! Sushi!! I’d never had real Sushi before and now I’m hooked! Thank you, Reuben & Kyria!! You have opened my world to wonderful things!
