Amaryllis // All the Beauty

When I was gifted a ‘grow your own Amaryllis’, I admit I had a little trepidation. As I planted the bulb and followed the directions, I set it on top of my piano and waited. It must have been 2 or 3 weeks till I first saw a little gorgeous, green, shoot. I was shocked! I could actually grow something? Will this survive? Hence began my two month journey of watching this beautiful shoot get taller and taller as it grew into a gorgeous flower, one stem after another.

My favorite part of growing this beautiful, soaring, plant was disciplining myself to photograph it every few days. Photographing the drastic growth every few days amazed me at the elegance of one plant. If God’s designed purpose for one small flower is for it to flourish and be beautiful, imagine His purpose for our lives.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
